As a Mom, I’m proud to say I have two wonderful, honest and thoughtful sons and daughter- in- laws.
This story brings me back to a small town parade that my youngest grandson was participating in with his school. My son and daughter- in-law were walking along the sidelines with him, when they spotted a digital camera with a case lying on the ground. My son picked it up and took it along with him while the parade was continuing along.
When the parade was over, my son, being the technician he is, connected the camera up to his laptop computer, that by the way goes everywhere with him, to view the pictures to see if he could recognize and get a clue that the camera could belong to. When my son and daughter- in-law were viewing the pictures, all 210 of them, they saw what appeared to be family wedding pictures, children’s Halloween pictures with them dressed in their cute costumes and dog show pictures where there was a lady receiving a trophy for her dog. On another picture was that same lady standing in front of a store front posing by the window. My son zoomed in on the name sign of the store and recognized the shop.
My daughter- in- law who loves taking pictures and has blessed me with some wonderful pictures of my grandkids, knew this lady was probably heart sick at losing all of her special pictures and knew they had to find her to return her precious memories along with her camera.
They found the store that was on the picture and when they entered, they saw the lady. She happened to be the owner of that business. They said to her, I think this is your camera. She was flabbergasted that they were able to find her. She broke down and cried. She asks them to please wait a minute. She wanted to get their address to send them a Thank You card, but first had to call her mother, who said “well that cameras gone. There’s no honest people left in the world today”. She wanted to let her know, that yes indeed there are still honest people out there.
Just another proud Mom mo ment in my life and believe me, I’ve had a bunch. I have been truly blesses with a wonderful family
