Do you believe in love at first sight?

Well, as a young man (even as an old man!) I was a spitfire!

I was born and raised in a small coal mining community in Pennsylvania and was engaged to a lovely woman. One night I attended a dance with my buddies and across the room I saw another woman. I was compelled to meet her. She told me a story, even giving me a phony name and town in which she lived.

After meeting her that fateful night, I knew that she was “the one” and I began my search to find her. I found her within a week after much investigation. After all, I was in love!

Our love story began …. She, too was engaged to be married, but our love was so strong that we both broke off our promises to wed others and our whirlwind courtship began.

We were wed within one month after our initial meeting and our love will last through eternity. We were blessed in marriage for 64 years when I lost my beloved Mame to death.

I do believe in love at first sight!
